A giant strawberry tart in Nabirat - near to Gourdon.

Over the Easter weekend, with the beautiful weather....  we took a little trip to Nabirat, near to Gourdon where there was the annual Fête de fraises!  


The huge pie of 30 m2 was  the highlight of the 14th edition of the festival which took place in the village. 

350 kg of fruit harvested on site or in the immediate vicinity.  The villagers slice up the pie to order.  

Oooooh the smell of strawberries was just amazing and it appeared everyone was carrying their own box containing strawberry tart, including us!
